In Patrik Lundells art he invites you into his figures, hidden messages and homages. If he find something of importance he visualize it in oil, acrylic and charcoal. The balance between darkness and a light touch is his aim to portray what he sees.
- What I love about art is that it can be a conversation starter. What I see clearly can be a bit dim for others, and that is what fascinates me. And also everything doesn't have to be so serious, a playful canvas can be a reminder to have fun and to enjoy the moment given to us. In my artworks the composition is important, usually the main character is placed in the center of the stage. Hidden words and symbols can be seen if looking closely.

This owl with his red bowtie came to life when I lived in Florence.
I wanted to create a seriousness, with an intriguing darkness. The sense that this owl has been around and he knows what he is talking about. His wisdom is something to listen to.

This is my symbol for all the powerful women in my life: my wife, my mom, my mother-in-law, my sister and a certain friend.

A bird called Jacky
My homage for my wife Jacqueline, a very strong and powerful bird. She´s been on this adventure dating back to when we met in the archipelagos of Värmdö, then off to Florence and now we're living in Stockholm with all our kids and animals.
I stole the yarn
The start came when I created my first figure "Hobo", a homage for the homeless.
- I got fascinated by their use of symbols written on walls to help eachother. From that world I saw a connection into my art by sometimes re-using material and make it into artworks.
Recycle-art or Old Gold as I call it. Some of that work is on display at beautiful Siggesta Gård, Värmdö.
To strive forward can sometimes have a meaningfull chance to look in the rearview mirror. I used to be afraid of cats, 2023 we bought 3 kittens and now that fear has been portrayed into my series of " I stole the yarn". This is my most recent work series.
The time in Florence was an important stepping stone in my strive to process forward. I wanted to manifest that by painting on my palette that was used during those years.
